Empowering Youth, Building Communities

The Ulevi Sio Dili Project is dedicated to empowering out-of-school youth aged 15 to 30 in Tanzania’s Pwani and Mara regions. It targets five districts: Bagamoyo, Kibaha, Kisarawe, Bunda, and Musoma, aiming to address their specific challenges.

Groups of Activities:

  1. Informal Gatherings: Street camps, arts/music groups, and discussions on drug and alcohol issues.
  2. Bimonthly Meetings at Maarifa Hub: Regular gatherings for knowledge exchange, skill-building, and mentorship.
  3. Social Media Engagement: Dissemination of informative content via platforms like YouTube, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
  4. Mainstream Media Utilization: Collaboration with TV and community radio talk shows to promote discussions and behavior change.

Implementation Patterns: Activities will run concurrently across all five districts, focusing on two wards per district with higher alcohol consumption rates. Trained volunteers in each district will facilitate engagement with youth.
